A Maypole Marquee Wedding in the English Countryside

- A quintessential summer wedding in Kent -

Hannah + Gareth tied the knot in the quaint village of Sissinghurst. Their ceremony was held at Trinity Church in Sissinghurst, followed by a really beautiful reception in a Maypole marquee in her parents garden, with views across rolling hills.

It took place in the village where Hannah grew up and all the delicate touches were infused with love and consideration. I went to primary school with Hannah and her family and notably, most of the suppliers who worked on this day, were connected to the couple in some way. It made it feel like a real family affair. Like a wedding community, where everyone knows each other. Hannah is the most down to ear person and it was a real pleasure to be there for her bridal preparations in the morning. She continued to work on styling the Marquee on the morning of her Wedding and was pottering around in her crocs until the last minute!

A really memorable part of this day, was definitely when we took some time out to take some relaxed group photos. The light was gorgeous and gave us a very poetic backdrop for them. I always like to keep group shots very informal and joyful- I never want it to feel like a chore. We had a special visit from their new puppy Rudy, who stole the show.
