MY STYLE

There are a lot of buzz words floating around to describe wedding photography. I would describe my style as relaxed editorial, with a strong documentary approach.

I love moments that are completely candid, to photograph people as beautifully as possible, whilst they are unaware the camera is on them. This observational style still is key to my work. That said, this is a pivotal moment in a couple’s life and it deserves a moment to slow down and capture things with intention. Having portraits with your nearest and dearest is so important on a Wedding day. My approach to this is always relaxed, but leading with a calm, confidence so everyone feels good.

The images themselves are true to tone to retain authenticity. The blue sky, the green grass, the delicate make up touches, and accent colours in the details. I want these images to be timeless and to reflect the carefully chosen colour palettes of your day.

I love people and the relationship with my couples is very important to me. I personally shoot every wedding. This ensures each couple receives my high energy + standards across the board.

KIND WORDS

β€œWhere do I even begin? Finding Lottie was one of the most impactful moments of planning our wedding day. The moment Lottie walked into the room it was like a friend had just arrived. Lottie is so kind, professional, creative and warm. Lottie returned our photos back to us in amazing time and the photographs were everything and more. Truly, the images brought me straight back to the day, full of joy and excitement. I could not be more grateful for Lottie, she made us feel so at ease and knew the Beacon like the back of her hand. I cannot recommend Lottie more,”

ON THE DAY

It’s about the people in front of me, so ego at the door and I just immerse into the energy of the day. I am focused, but I have a relaxed, positive vibe. You will never see me stressed on a Wedding day. I believe the people who are providing a service on a wedding day are all there to support and lift up our clients, to give them the best day possible. Providing a personal experience to each client is key to my work. I like to give each client my attention before the wedding, so when I arrive on the day, I know their feelings and expectations.

For the candid photography, I intuitively move throughout the day, anticipating moments before they happen. Those special hugs after speeches, the proud looks from parents, capturing the love that surrounds you. Considering the lighting, styling and energy of the room. My brain is always thinking - how do I preserve what this moment feels like for them?

Infusing the editorial approach to my work is second nature to me. I know how to effectively work these into a Wedding timeline, so my couples get to enjoy their day as much as possible, yet still receive the beautiful portraiture they wish for. I bounce off the energy of the couple and lead them through the process with what feels like minimal effort from them. Ensuring the moment itself feels special and enjoyable.
