Personal Branding shoot for Wedding Florist, India
A mixture of digital and film images for one of my favourite florists, India. Her brand is Thistle + String. She runs her workshop from Tunbridge Wells and can be found working at venues all over Kent, East Sussex, London and beyond. We have worked together on numerous jobs over the years. One time we adventured to Belize, but that’s a story for another time! This was ahead of a commission at LIMEKILN the next day, so the perfect opportunity to capture her at work.
We wanted to communicate India’s contemporary approach to florals and to refresh her brand imagery to reflect that. Being amongst the flowers is her natural habitat and an integral part of her. For me, it’s so fascinating to document an artist at work and to let them get lost in it while I photograph them. I think the portraiture will always look more honest that way.
